I did google DJ Depree, and yes, 1) it was interesting, and 2) I wish more companies were run with the sensibilities he brought to Miller.
Yet, I did find it odd that there was "no room for him in the management" of the company after 1960, even though he lived for another 30 years.
Moreover, the biog (the Hall of Fame piece) kept talking about the "providential events" in the company's history and emphasizing Depree's devotion to religion.
And that raises some intriguing questions, which went unanswered in the article.
